Day of Action for Gaza

On Friday, March 7th, something incredible happened. Volunteers from all over came together at the SCM office in Seattle to load a shipping container full of desperately needed aid for Gaza—and in just a few hours, it was packed and ready to go!

Inside this container are 85 new wheelchairs, 23 used wheelchairs, 17 new walkers, 21 used walkers, 63 used pairs of crutches, 20 boxes of diapers, 259 solar lanterns, 6 boxes of facemasks, 3 bags of knitted items, 10 boxes of medical supplies, 9 used knee scooters, 3 boxes of hand sanitizer. These essential items will soon begin their long journey: departing from Seattle, traveling to Aqaba, Jordan, then being trucked to Amman, where the Jordan Hashemite Charities Foundation will facilitate their delivery across the border into Gaza. SCM team members in Jordan will be on the ground to help ensure these supplies reach the people who need them most.

But Here’s the Amazing (and Urgent) News…

We had so many donations that we couldn’t fit everything into just one container! This outpouring of generosity means we now have enough supplies for a second shipment—but we need your help to make it happen.

We Need to Raise Funds for a Second Container!

Each shipment comes with high costs—shipping, customs, and logistics. We can’t let these critical supplies sit in a warehouse when they could be saving lives in Gaza.

💙 Every dollar counts. Your donation will go directly toward covering the shipping costs for the second container, ensuring more wheelchairs, walkers, medical supplies, and solar lanterns reach the people who need them most.

A Community That Shows Up

The energy at the loading site was incredible. Despite the truck arriving late, we were done before noon—thanks to the overwhelming support of volunteers who came ready to lift, carry, and pack with love and determination. Reporters from local news outlets showed up to capture the moment, and photographer Jordan Somers generously documented the day with powerful images that you can view in the gallery below.

To everyone who showed up, to everyone who donated, to everyone who helped spread the word—thank you. Your solidarity with Palestine and the people of Gaza is making a real, tangible difference.

Let’s Keep the Momentum Going!

If you couldn’t join us for the first loading, you can still be part of this effort. Donate now to help us send a second container and continue bringing hope to those who need it most.
